i know other materials like wood cannot be detected by RADAR but what about plastic? (personal interest)

From what I remember, yes, it can be. Part of the reserach done pointed out that radars were returning images from pilots inside the plane. Also, sometimes they use a plastic or fiberglass type substance as chaff (makes my weather radar angry and looks like severe tstms).
i've been trying to research different materials that are difficult to detect. of course that is difficult because a lot of it is classified. i guess Plastic Fibers are off my list.
