What reason does your Sgt give for needing to meet her?? If it's an issue with your BAH, or BAQ, then your battalion S1 officer or NCOIC would tell you to bring her in. If you are married and have provided a marriage certificate, then you are entitled to BAH/BAQ, and whether your wife resides with you, is irrelevant. Sounds to me like you NCO is trying to get your BAH pulled and for you to have on post housing.. If you have any further questions or if my answer wasn't explicit enough, then you can either text or email me.
Also, the issue with having to send your wife money, you absolutely have to ensure that she has adequate funds to sustain living cost. You can get with your S1 NCOIC to establish an allotment through you dfas.mil/mypay account. Whatever you do, DO NOT give anyone access to your mypay account. It only takes 5 seconds to change account and routing numbers on mypay. I can't remember if AKO and mypay use the same login, but if they do, then make sure no one has it.. I've heard multiple horror stories about a wife changing mypay info and then they were totally screwed.. Best of luck, and if you need anything else, then don't hesitate to ask. And always remember, "The only dumb question, is the one you don't ask"..
