He does not care if he has to pay back to the state what he they have helped me with. I live in Nebraska and my boyfriend lives in Texas. I will be moving to Texas next May to live with him. I have a 6 year old daughter who's biological father also lives in Texas. He is always in trouble with the law and I know for a fact he would never fight for custody of my daughter. The state of Nebraska has tried to get him for child support, but he will not sign the acknowledgement of paternity. He has not signed the birth certificate. He claims my daughter is not his, but when we (him, my daughter and myself) were all given a DNA test which my daughter and I participated in, he would not do it. Can my boyfriend adopt my daughter or sign the birth certificate as her father if we are not married?
