My wife is currently working for a cleaning company. She is currently on salary pay but, although she is on salary, if she goes under 40 hours, her boss deducts the money. But when she goes over 40 hours she doesn't get any money added to her pay. I was under the impression that salary is a fixed income and her hours of work would not matter when it comes to her pay. My question is how should my wife go about telling her boss this? What should she do and say?
