Can it be a common mistake to mispronounce the name Céline for the name Colleen?

What I remember is mispronouncing a students name Céline as Colleen.That same student corrected me from embarrassment because the rest of the class laughed. It was extremely awkward for the two of us because we were partners that same day. I hope I'm not the only one who mispronounce a common or unique given name.
