I have a very well tempered 4h rabbit. He loves to be pet (although not picked up), he has never bitten another person, and has experience being pet by strangers. He is comfortable in fairly loud and new environments. I have been researching different ways that I can register him, but they're all too expensive.
Basically, my question is: can I take him places (I wouldn't call him a *therapy* rabbit) such as senior centers or libraries so that people could pet him, and he could provide comfort, etc?
Can I volunteer with an animal without it being registered as a therapy animal?

Pets are not allowed.
Your rabbit is not a service animal trained to provide assistance with a disability.
Your rabbit is not an emotional support animal and they do not have the same rights as a service animal. If you think you can bring your pet then the people who have chickens, monkeys, snakes, lizards, and cats and dogs will be bringing them saying the same thing as you and allergic people will be calling 911 right and left.
Leave the rabbit home!.
Your rabbit is also not a therapy rabbit. It must be a certified animal to qualify and libraries have nobody in need of a therapy animal. You're looking for loopholes to take a pet rabbit everywhere with you.
Thank you for responding to my question, although I in no way insinuated that I was "looking for loopholes to take a pet rabbit everywhere with me". I clearly stated that I wanted to take him places to provide comfort, not just tote him around everywhere I wanted. Also if my goal was just to take my rabbit everywhere with me, why would I go out of my way and volunteer (emphasis on volunteer) with him just to take him places?
Thank you!
