Can I use windows 7 anytime upgrade if my current windows 7 home is not genuine.Will anything chang?

I just want to make sure that i get a genuine version of windows 7 and want to know if this would work.

Yes, talk to someone from Best Buy or Geek Squad first though just to make sure.
