Can I send deer antlers from Germany to South africa in the post without paperwork?

Do i need permission from customs control to send items like this,ie small deer antlers on wooden disks....I will be sending it via regular mail?

Check both German and South African rules for inport/export. Some countries have very strict rules about transporting animals remains. At the very least when you drop the package off they will ask you to inventory whats in the box.
