So I live in St Louis Mo. Actually a nice area in Ballwin. My AC unit broke a few days ago though. And it has been over 85 in my house. I can just tell my dogs been tired and exhausted from it. I keep calling to see if they will fix my my AC and they keep saying they are waiting on a part to come in. It has been 3 days no AC. Its only 98 outside no big deal. But I am beginning to feel sick and tired. I didn't even eat yesterday because I didn't have an appetite. So now they have stopped answering the phones. I tried calling my health department and a few other places and they all say that a landlord is not REQUIRED to provide AC for you. So there is nothing I can do besides pay for an expensive lawyer when I probably wont win anyways. I feel like there should be laws or something you can do when your apartment isn't inhabitable. Why would anyone not make is a law that your house has to at least be a certain temp. I mean if I was my grandpa by now I would've had two heat strokes and died by now. Please help or am I screwed.
