Can I put my Verizon Sim card in a boost mobile phone and keep my Verizon service?

There are two systems: GSM and CDMA. GSM phones use a SIM card, and whatever phone you put that card in is your number. However, some GSM phones have a software lock so they will only work with one brand of service. Verizon phones are CDMA and they don't use a SIM card. The phone itself is locked to one brand of service.
