Can I make money doing science before getting a degree?

science is a field of sight. Employers want to SEE evidence that you're job worthy before giving you a job that revolves around living according to what is seen.

Making money and doing science require distinctly different skill-sets. You do not need other people to do science, only careful observations. You need other people to make money, because it does not grow on trees. Scientists sometimes get wealthy, but this is either because they organize a company to sell the benefits of their scientific discoveries, or because they sell the discovery some company that knows how. If you want to work as a scientist for someone else, you will find that a degree is almost a necessity, unless you already have a provable and valuable body of work to show. You could try entering science fairs for publicity.
