Can I girl get pregnant in her safe period?

I'm 26 years old, female, and I know that from a medical professionals point of view, a woman can get pregnant anytime. Although, they also say that there are times in a womans cycle where she is less likaly to conceive. If u had sexual intercourse shortly after her last period stopped u should be all set.
