My ex and I were going to have a baby boy. She got arrested on 5-27-2009 for a false 911 call and a false police report, not only that she said to one of our friends "You know, Jerry, women can kill just as much as men can?" He left and never returned to our house/apartment as long as she was there. She also came at me with a knife, and since I am a Sandan, Third Degree Black Belt, I had no choise to defend myself, then I left and I never set one foot in there again. Our son was born sometime in late November early December of 2009. Her doctor claimed her unfit to take care of the boy and was forced to give it up. I found out through another friend of ours that her mother of my ex, the grandmother of the boy, has him so my ex can still see him. I heard through the grape vine that she tried to harm MY SON. I know the mothers first and last name, (my ex that is), her DOB, I also know my sons first and last name but not the DOB. I know where the grandmother is living, which is the same address where MY SON is living right now. I know the grandmothers first and last name and her DOB. The big proble is that I AM NOT ON MY SONS BIRTH CERTIFICATE!!!!! How can i gain custody of MY SON with all the info I have? By the way, I live in Zephyrhills, FL. Any and all help will be helpfull.

I am terribly sorry all of this has happened to you! I feel so sorry that you've been slammed with an awful event one after another. I am confused as to why you're not on your son's birth certificate? I'm pretty sure a name has to be put on the certificate as the father of the child. I suggest you find a GOOD lawyer in your town and talk to him about your predicament and see what he thinks. If the lawyer can't think of anything to do, keep searching. Also, you can try to report your ex's attempts of harming your son to the authorities. Make sure you are 100% sure that she tried to harm him and you have proof as well. Do not try to report her if you are even .1% unsure because it could lead to something even worse than the predicament you are in. Try to talk to your ex's mother to see what's going on and when you are allowed to see him. Confront her as to why you are not on the birth certificate. Hopefully, you will find a lawyer who will know what to do because I am not experienced in law...sorry :( I wish I knew more but this is all I can offer. There might not be anything you can do to gain custody, but just fight for your son no matter what.
