my daughter father has not been in her life and he got child support papers now he file for a dna can I get full custody he has not been there for her and shes 1 years old my boyfriend has been there a week after she was born and she calls him dad will my boyfriend have any rights to this

Im not 100% certain on this, custody laws vary from state to state. The dna test is just to prove he is the father and has to pay child support. If the test comes back positive you have a few options. The two of you work out a parenting plan on your own, or it goes to court and the court decides. If it goes to court they will probably take into consideration your significant others involvement with the child but, unless the father has done something that can prove him an unfit father he has protected rights to see this child. Now your other option, and it only works if the father is willing, is to have him sign over his parental rights. He would no longer be obligated to pay child support and your significant other would then have the possibility of trying to adopt your daughter. Check the laws in your state.
