I made a Youtube account a couple of months ago, just for fun, and used a google account that didn't have my name. Recently I've been using that google account for almost everything, and I've had to change the username to my full name. I'd really prefer not to have my full name as my youtube channel, but I can't change the name without changing my whole account name.
I've been trying to change the account that's linked to the channel. Apparently if it's a brand account, I can switch the owner, but then I won't be able to change it back to a regular account. Is there any way I can change the channel owner?
Can I change the owner account of my Youtube channel?

Heya, peri.
Honestly, I don't know much about youtube's current technicalities - this seems to be the closest match: https :// support . google . com / youtube/answer/3056283?hl=en
If you've only possessed that account for a few months with recreational intent, have you considered creating a new one and redirecting to it, closing down the old account after a short while?
General piece of advice, it's best to create at least two completely separate accounts - the one used IRL should have your full name in the address itself as well as the settings, since it conveys a more professional attitude than a pseudonym.

"If your account's email address ends in @gmail.com, you usually can't change it." Super helpful, thank you google.
