I edit videos and the clients usually request popular songs. Is it possible to buy the license?

you cannot buy royalty free music from ''popular artists'' since royalty free is when people (in your case) make music for people to use in things such as videos for YouTube or whatever. To use other people's music you have to have permission via email etc. A way to use popular music in videos is by finding a remix of it, but of course asking the creator. I was in the same position until I found this website: www.bensound.com - they make royalty free music and now I just use this, but they want you to mention them so I just put their link in my description.
Thank you so much for answering. So I can't buy a license or any way to use a song in one of my videos with permission? It has to be a remix of that song? I found sites that sell a very similar version to popular songs but I was hoping to get the real one.
