I plan about moving there in a year for collage, and I own a leopard gecko(who I am very attached to). Can I legally bring him to hawaii? Is there any legal way for me to bring him to Hawaii?

I have recently moved to Hawaii about a month and a half ago, not even. They restrict many animals from entering Hawaii. I had to leave my duck, uromastyx lizard, and two snakes back with friends and family because none of them are aloud here and you have to have them quarantined which is somewhat expensive and then shipped which adds onto your cost. That is if leopard geckos were legal here. In my research I have found one link saying "An unidentified man turned in six illegally owned leopard geckos..", this was in Honolulu I believe. So no I do not believe they are aloud here and are illegal to bring. I'm sorry if you have to get rid of your little buddy, I know the feeling as I had to leave all of mine. I'm only here for a year so I get my companions back when I go back to the mainland. Well 2 that is due to the caretakers 1, not supervising my pet and it (the duck) disappeared and 2, I suggested the caretaker of my 4 month old ball python to move food size up from pinky mice and she went straight to full grown mice and my snake choked and died. I hoped this helped and maybe you can set something up like I did so you get your buddy back when and if you go back.
