im on call,but work full time.when i started,my supervisor started his month long vacation and wont be back for a few weeks. but my coworkers have been talking about him and about how much of a hard butt he is. he sends people home because of the way they do things,or if they talk back to him. he has even made an employee cry and then sent him home. is this legal?

Well, it IS legal, but very cruel. Your supervisor IS a hard butt, and some other things besides. Anyway, if you & your coworkers get sent home, that is a loss of productivity, and so it is likely your supervisor will get fired. (If you're lucky. I feel sorry for you).
