Can cement blocks hold 150 gallon fish tank about 2000 pounds. Just on sides of tank?

Why would you not want to support the middle? there is the center of gravity where the water weight will push down. I suggest framing it all around and putting down atleast a 3/4 inch piece of finished plywood to help support.
