Hi. If youre making a sentence like that, there is actually no wrong answer.
He told her he (wants) to see her again? - If you use wants to see her, thatll mean that its talking about the present time, right now. So he wants to see her now. Meanwhile wanted is in the past. Like he wanted to see her yesterday, but today he doesnt want to anymore. So there is no wrong answer.
