No, and neither do microwaves... both those energy sources are radio-wave technology. Now that may make you wonder more about other radio-waves like what you listen to in your car or what makes your cellphone work... and there is some information that suggests that this may be harmful to some degree. However you cannot get rid of radio-waves by getting rid of the receivers... only the transmitters (and some things such as microwaves and remotes are transmitters, so I guess you could limit your transmitters if you really wanted). But the general consensus is that we are not going to be able to avoid radio-waves completely anyhow so why not enjoy them for what they offer us. Besides the bottom-line is that really it all comes down to the frequency as to whether it is going to cook something to death or travel (relatively) harmlessly through the air or space.
That being said now you know fact from fiction, and now the next step is making up your own mind to what extent you wish to apply that knowledge... :)
If an electronic mechanism where to generate EMF when turned on it would fry itself (especially something as weak as a wifi router). I'm just saying, there is a lot of weird non-factual information out there about radiation (in regards to everything from electronics to the sun, and I guess the truth is that all forms of energy technically are a form of radiation if that is what you meant but that isn't how most people think of radiation so then they go and post something that makes people think that harmful radiation is everywhere and people get the wrong idea). BTW I am not trying to bash on what "uncaged" said it's just that it's hard finding the truth in matters like these because of all the hysteria that has cause false information to will the web, word of mouth, and even many books and it may very well be that you found false information [and maybe even confirmed it because of the popularity of false information as it pertains to this subject]). Anyway, I guess if you read this and really believe what you are saying is true then perhaps shoot me a few resource links (if I'm wrong I will certainly admit to it but not before I can authenticate the information).
Peace. :)
EMF "radiation", but not radioactivity.
