Can a hemophiliac's wound be treated by applying a non-hemophiliac's blood to the wound site? Obviously this would not be ideal, but in the absence of factor 8/9 and any kind of medical treatment facility, could this work?
Assumptions:
- Over 50 miles from any building/city.
- No clotting formula available.
- No hospital or clinic or medical personnel available.
- No communication available.
- Night time with only portable flashlights and/or fire available.
- Laceration not more than 4 inches long, nor more than .15 inches deep, to left or right hand.
- Two unrelated persons present, one with severe hemophilia, the other without.
- Arid environment.
- Temperature between 70 and 75 Fahrenheit.
- Non-hemophiliac has no significant blood-borne pathogens.
- Hemophiliac has no significant blood-borne pathogens.
- Hemophiliac is same blood type as non-hemophiliac.
