Some friends and I were out on the lake for the 4th and were boating back to our cabin when we were randomly pulled over by a game warden. We weren't speeding, driving erratically, and nothing crazy was going on in the boat, so I'm not really sure why they pulled us over. Well they asked to see all of our safety equipment, which we produced and all was up to date. They then proceeded to ask if anyone had been drinking, made me (the driver) take a breathalyzer(which I passed), but 2 of the people on the boat were underage and had been drinking and long story short received MICs. I also received a ticket for not having the boaters education course (which none of us knew you had to take to drive a boat) We were cooperative and polite and I feel like the cops were just being jerks and trying to hand out tickets. Are there any laws or something that could help my friends appeal their MIC tickets?

Some one who saw you or your boat might of called after they saw the two underage people drinking. Other than that then i dont know why they would of. Probably just cchecking making sure that theres no heavy drinking on the fourth. They probably did it to everyone. And yes they can pull you over without a intial cause.
