Can a game that requires an hard drive for xbox 360 work on a USB or flash drive?

on A hard drive, hard drive does not start with a, e,i,o,u. anyway as long as that flash drive is formatted to xbox it will work just as the xbox hard drive, just make sure there is enough space on it
