I am confused of what degree you need to work as an environmental engineer. I visited a website, and that it said the majority of people who work as an environmental engineer has a degree in Environmental science. And then the website said that you must have a degree in environmental engineering to work as an environmental engineer.
My problem now is I am interested (And probably can get in) two of the TOP 30 universities in U.K. Those universities only offer Environmental Science, not Environmental engineering. If I choose Environmental Engineering as my major, then I would have to find universities that are lower down the rank.
So should I study Environmental science as my major and hope that it will get me my dream job, or should i study Environmental Engineering even though it is in a lower rank? Or even double major?
If possible, I want to know the pathway of becoming an environmental engineer with a degree in Environmental science.
The problem is the universities that I wish to enter do not offer such choices. So I am wondering if I could have a degree in Environmental science and still work as an environmental engineer in the future.
