Well, the commonly termed "6 pack" is really just your Abdominals being strong, and you having low enough body fat for them to show. Your Abs are structured in the 6 pack way, its in your genetics. Some people have 8 packs, its not because they're stronger, just different DNA. So, you have a 6 pack, you just need it to show.

One of the big things people are doing now is starving themselves to lose weight, if you do anything; please, don't do that.
Another big thing people are doing is eliminating carbs, but that usually only results in them getting a lot of Saturated fat, and thats real bad. Plus, they may lose weight fast at first, but then it all comes back on wholesale. Thanks to our body's programming to survive.
So, let me run you through a few easy things to get you going good.
First off, as everyone will say, you should be eating 6 small meals throughout the day (I prefer 3 small meals, and 3 snacks.) And your obvious first reaction is: "I don't have time to fix 6 meals a day..." Well, no one does. But you don't have to.
Buy some Almonds and keep them in your car. You can snack on them during car rides, and they will keep you full so you aren't tempted by fast food like McDonalds or Taco Bueno etc. Albeit true they are expensive, I find that www.vendingnut.com has them for the best price. And they will shed pounds off you, they're worth it.
For Breakfast, you should try getting some Quaker, or any brand, of instant oatmeal. Just pour it in a bowl and microwave in the morning, and you've got yourself fiber and energy to get through the day. Easy.
Another great snack is a banana, just peel it - and BAM! Instant snack, ready to eat with no clean up neccesary. You can handle that. But, you should eat this early in the day, not before bed.
Another trick that works well for me, is buying 96+% ground beef, and making burgers out of it. Make 5 or so on the weekend, put them in zip-lock bags and refrigerate them, and then microwave throughout the week for an instant, delicious, low fat dinner.
Most importantly though, try to eliminate the sweets from your diet. Replace them with fruits like Apples and Bananas. Throw some yogurt in for another great snack when you're craving sweets (if you cut a mango up into some yogurt... delicious.)
Any cardiovascular you do longer than 45minutes will get you a lot of burned fat too, but just the diet change alone should get you where you want to be.
Any book you buy at the store on Abdominal exercises will help too. They're very basic and easy to read, and a great starting point -- especially for someone at 14 years old.
Good luck with your diet, let me know how it turns out -- and feel free to e-mail me at any time.
Thanks, Trey.
