They took all my details (address, name...) And fined me £35.00. Will this go on my criminal record? Should I be worried? How much trouble have I gotten myself into? I live in the west Midlands

if have you paid the fine to an enforcing officer of that bus company, there will no record. However it will come up if you apply at later date to work for this company.
If you were approached and your details were taken down by a community police officer unfortunately you will then go into there data base. The term used is you have become 'known to the police'. There are numerous ways you can become known to the police by being a witness. Making a statement.
If the bus company make an allegation you attempted to avoid payment and attempted to get away. They could then report you to the police you would then need to be questioned, the police would need to have reasonable proof the allegation is true and it would need to be proven in court before it became a criminal record. This would most certainly affect your employment prospects with some organisations so you should endeavour to avoid having a criminal record.
