i have worked for the same company as an assistant manager for 7 years, 4 years ago i was told that they would be opening another store in my region, i was told if i wanted the job as manager i would have to work at another store for more training. I did this for 2 and a half years, the store opened and they put somebody else in as manager, 6 months ago i had the oppurtunity to move to the new store as assistant manager. i have had a few run ins with the area manager and he told me that he didnt like my attitude and i will never get a managers job whilst he is an area manager. The manager at the store is now moving on and i have found out that they are going to put another a new manager in who is currently an assistant manager at another store. i have told the area manager that i want the managers job and he has told me i will get an interview. this has not happened and it seems deffinate that the new manager will start soon. i have had several run ins with the area manager in the past where he has called me a c*nt and sworn at me. i have all these dated and documented over the last 4 years. do i grounds for legal action???
