Hi !. I have a question. Can a normal person be as good as a talented person ( in boxing ).?
Im asking this question because i want to box really bad and im 19 years old. What keeps standing in my way is this question. Also a lot of other people don't believe i can be a boxer. Mayweather ( champion boxer) started boxing when he was a kid and he is talented but can a normal person without talent be like him ( just like me i have no talent in boxing) , and i want to start boxing now (19 years old) . What would you guys say? . Am I to late to start working my hardest and maybe become a pro OR maybe a champion?

Ideally you'd want to start no later than 12 or 13 years of age. Given that you can't have the ideal state of affairs now, just go for the best you can do. Be prepared for some very hard work (especially starting late). If you have luck on your side and you are willing to work hard, you can still achieve in boxing.
Luckily for you, boxers (especially heavyweights) don't reach their peak until they are around 30 (or perhaps older). You have time.
Work on your strength and fitness, and train like hell.
19 years old isn't over the hill but you will need to work a lot before you step into the ring.
Get yourself into fighting shape and then find yourself a good trainer.
FYI, Muhammad Ali started boxing at age 12, Mike Tyson at age 16.
Best of luck!
its hard...I don't want to crush your dream or anything..but boxing is a tough sport and a lot of people who absolutely love it get hurt badly when doing it..so I don't think is wise for someone without any talent in it to try to become a professional..now to answer your questions..I started boxing when I was 17 and its really easy to learn give it 6 months and you will be able to box..so yeah you can learn boxing in 19! will you be good?it depends..I myself stoped after 3 years with 11 fights 4 losses and only a bronze in the nationals but I saw people becoming national champions who started boxing after they finished school (18,19 even 20) I also remember reading somewhere that Sergio Martinez started boxing at 20 and became a world champion so it is possible..also since you never tried it out..its impossible to tell if you have talent or not..so I believe you should try it best case scenario you become a world champion like Martinez worst case scenario you become a no name amatuer with some boxing skills and some fun memories like me..so try it! and I hope you become a millionaire world champion
