Botany - If "root" is the opposite of "branch," what is the opposite of "apple"?

Root is NOT the opposite of branch.

As for apple there really isnt an opposite unless you create one.

Apple is a food then the opposite would be something nonfood.

Apples grow on a tree above ground so the opposite would be something
that grows on the ground or underground.

Apple is s fruit so the opposite would be a vegetable.
