Botany - Do plant stalks that we put in water to propagate produce oxygen like planted ones?

The stalks already have some leaves, but I've put them in water so they grow new roots, and later I'll plant them. Are those leaves capable of producing oxygen? Thanks for the answer by the way.

I have already answered your question and I don't understand what more you are trying to ask. I also do not understand your concern about oxygen. That is just what plants do.
