I work at a gym. The owner and manager has all the employees in a group text and any time there is a problem or announcement they put it in the group text. The gym opens at 5am and we get messages that early if there is something going on with the computer or a member etc. The texting goes on throughout the day. I don't respond to these messages because I'm busy. But the owner is now demanding a response from every employee ASAP she says it is disrespectful to not reply now mind you I'm a student so when I'm not at work im at school I don't have time to read through the messages and respond how she would like me to. What is disrespectful is that fact that it is my day off and I'm still having to deal with work. The messages aren't short they are very long. I'm about to quit but not sure if I'm over reacting.
