I've only read a small preview of the book so I kind of know how it begins.
There are three men on a farm trying to catch a temperamental old pig - two of the three men are watching the third and making bets on whether or not he'll fall on his face. The third man - presumably the book's protagonist - goes home, makes himself soup and then gets interrupted by a knock on the door. I think that these men are either guards or tax collectors but I remember the book saying something about a dragon so that's probably where his money is going. Also, one of the guards was quite polite if a bit awkward and I can't remember anyone's names.
Any help would be gratefully accepted, this is really bugging me. Thanks!
