I had a low A1c last time i was tested-it was super low so my endocrinologist ( i see and endo because i have hypothyroidism) and she mentioned i could get an over the counter sugar test kit. so i did and i fully expected to see low results. in the mornings im getting mid 90s -104 and 2 hours after eating im getting some normal results under 120 and then i have had some higher ones, such as 145, 160, 158 and the highest of 168. im checking it about 2 hours after. Sometimes its a little before the 2 hour mark but its close enough. What does this mean? im in the middle of changing endocrinologist so i wanted to ask here on what i should do next. Thanks

basically its easy depending when you choose to test make sure you get strips and lancets everytime so you have them on hand watch your diet and carbs calories eat as healthy as you can your a1c needs to be done every 3 months so they know how it is proggressing write down your blood sugars keep track of them you want to take two fasting blood sugars during the week mabe one after lunch during and one after dinner this will help you get a undercontrol status just be healthy do you take metformin
No. I only take synthroid for my thyroid. I havent been diagnosed with diabetes or anything. WAs only taking my sugar because we thought they were gonna be low. I just tested again after lunch and got 180.I am just curious if i should try to get in with another dr or not. My next visit to the endocrinologist isnt until August. Thanks for your help
