I was just perusing Google maps and I noticed something interesting...at 76°47'21.0"N 157°58'41.2"E, the map is blacked out. I thought this may just be a glitch of sorts, but when I looked closer, there is definitely land around the corners that can be seen on the satellite option, and when I looked at other maps, there's definitely an island there. What makes this even more curious is that as much as I searched, I couldn't find any other place on our Earth (according to Google Maps) that is literally blacked out like that.
Why is this one little island blacked out and nowhere else?
Blacked out island on Google Maps?
