Hey guys! So I have a few questions:
I want to enlist in the military, diagnosed bipolar when I was 15 and hospitalized twice for depression but been stable for over three years with no medication.
Can I enlist? What to disclose? (Everything, moral issue) Are there different rules for different branches? Has anyone ever had an experience with this?
This has been my dream since I was a kid. I grew up in the Air Force and Navy, this is the only life I know and want. I've been reading through the thread and see that different people have asked similar questions.
I was VOLUNTARILY admitted to the hospital....I've read that that matters. I've been filling the prescriptions for a while but consistently not taking the meds (parent issue).
HOW AND WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO BE ADMITTED? I was told to stay off meds for a year and I should be good as far as that goes.
Thanks!
