A sermon usually has to be within guidelines set by the denomination. You really, really don't want advice from anybody outside your denomination.
Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read to find wisdom. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians. Here is a book to help you to understand the bible. It's a free download and you can get a hard copy at any bible book store.

Mr. Bullinger was an English guy who died about 1910. He wrote a lot about how to study the scriptures. He was an Anglican minister, not some cultist.
What power Jesus displays! How reassuring it is to know that our King has power over the natural elements and that when his full attention is directed toward our earth during his Kingdom rule, all will dwell in security from terrifying natural calamities!

Jesus demonstrated on a small scale the power of his Heavenly Father, imagine even the storm listen to Jesus voice and obey, yes even the forces of nature he had control over. In the near future the all powerful God will use his reigning King Jesus Christ to do greater things, Jesus will be the King in God's Kingdom ruling over all obedient mankind on the earth. Mankind will no longer have anymore pain, no more tears and even death will be gone forever. It will be a time when not even the forces of nature have any bad effects on mankind. All obedient mankind will be living on a paradise earth forever, surrounded by perfect conditions and perfect people. Will you like to be part of this international brother hood?
