My mate and I are looking to go overseas to celebrate New years (head off around mid December and get back start of January)
We are both 18 and looking for a destination that is generally affordable, has good weather, sightseeing and quality women ;)
Best holiday destination for students?

well i recommend you the Philippines you can search about it. Since the date your vacationing is holiday season there because its Christmas you can experience the way that Filipino celebrate it there is a lot of breath taking beach and sightseeing destination there and the Pinay are beautiful and very hospitable the weather at that time is nice
Haha are you kidding? You want to go to the Mediterranean on some island.. I've been able to order drinks there since I was 15. The only island I've been to is Mallorca but I hear that Ibiza is a real party island. At least for Swedes.. well for Scandinavians but it shouldn't be any different for anyone else. Though we go where there (almost) aren't any brits, germans or americans.. every single time they come around children start crying.. the last time a brit was around I had to run with my niece to the norwegian nurse inside the hotel.. completely mindless, playing football like crazy, like they don't understand how much sand blows up in everyones faces.. kicking the football so hard that no one can relax, hitting people in the head with the damn ball, hitting children, destroying their toys, stepping over other peoples stuff, ruining things, making you throw a towel over your face so you won't constantly have to spit sand.. thank god there's an ocean close by but then you still have to stay at the beach for half an hour and you have to walk a long way and you have to walk carefully because everything you want to wear, every towel everything is covered in sand after they have been around, at least it doesn't happen every day. And the only way to get rid of them is to scream ******* assholes (or verdamtes something something) and throwing stuff after them.. jeez some people. Dutch people are there sometimes but they behave and think two steps forward before they act.
But Mallorca isn't cheap, I've never spent anything less than 1500 euros and then I've only been there for one week at a time. The "mainland", Spain, is cheaper but it's harder to order drinks when you're underage (I'm saying this because it's early in 2009 and it's your 18th birthday and I bet that some of your friends aren't 18 for a few more months). No I suggest one of the islands but behave during the day..
Edit: All are 18? Wow.. lucky.. Then the nightlife is going to be better for you than what it has been for me.. for now.. Well I still recommend Mallorca (Alcudia especially). I met quite a few DD there, half of which were swedish xD.. though most of them couldn't get very far away from their dads and not for very long.. Thought one of them was going to send me to the hospital when I ran in to him at the atm.. Be careful if you go there, depending on who hit on ofc.. Beyond the nightlife part you can "jump parachute" (do you say it like that in english too?? it doesn't sound right..), go one of the "banana boats" (you sit on a elongated plastic raftlike thing that is attached to a boat), you can follow a boat in a parachute (we never did that either though..), take a tour on a boat that has windows in floor so you can see the bottom when it isn't moving too fast or go on a boat that goes to the towns a bit further away, I suppose they work kind of like trains and buses do.. but we didn't do that either.. we were mostly working on our tan and the beach isn't boring to say the least. You can buy fruits from that fat lady who screams melona, melona, melona! It's amazing she's still overweight.. apparently she has been walking on that beach every day selling fruits for like 20 years. Or you can buy a football (just stay away from everyone else) or a badminton set.. or you can buy air mattresses and tan on the ocean which is ever so much more effective, and the waves makes it more fun. Or my personal favorite, do all of those things. But that is if you can get 1500 dollars each + plane tickets.. Can't your parents help?
I recommended Albany Ga it is a tourist destination and very fun place.Hotels provide a best facilties and wonderful sights, activities and amenities at affordable rates. The beaches are cool and theme parks are really good. You can literally spend hours just browsing through the various shops and stores. If you get hungry,Albany Ga has a good selection of restaurants.
