My mum has moved to london not long a go since she couldn't find a job back in our country, she is 55 years old now, and I am paying her rent and all her expenses. Is there somewhere I can go to try and request some monetary help for her? As it is very hard for me to support her too. Please help!

She needs to get in touch with social services. If she is unemployed then she may be entitled to claim job seekers allowance and housing benefit to cover the rent. She has to do it though, you cannot do it for her. She may not be entitled it depends how long she has been in the UK and upon a whole load of other things as well.
Make an appointment at the local JobCentre for her and get her moving. Claims take a very long time to process so don't expect a result any time soon.
