Give him time. I don't know how long you've been together but maybe it is too early to talk about marriage if you haven't been with each other for very long.
His views will change over time, no one wants to jump into things just let the thought simmer a little and then see how things are later on. If it's meant to be then you'll last, bumps in the road are normal and so are disagreements :) Good Luck xx
