I love listening to Tangerine Dream and Vangelis. Also Kitaro. Can anyone recommend some bands that are similar. 1970's and 1980's Symphonic Electronic. Ambient Electronic. Jazz Fusion. That kind of stuff. I also like Synchestra and Ed Van Fleet
Bands that are similar?

I dont mind some of the newer stuff as long as it is actually symphonic or ambient. No trip hop, or house, or club music. Most dubstep I don't like either.

Hi! I wrote an answer to this question too. However, I don't understand why my answer won't show :/
So, I decided to write you a comment here instead.
Have you heard of the band "Human Nature"?
Their song "Eternal Flame" rocks! :)
I hope this helps..
I just listened to the song and I really enjoyed it. It is great. Thanks for the recommendation. Although it was not the type of music I was searching for in my question. Some people might not always understand what genre of electronica they mean when someone says Symphonic Electronica. The only other way I can describe the electronic styling I was trying to explain in my question is by saying New Age Electronica. The bands that I listed all had more ambient, mystical, dream-like meditative melodies and sounds more like the things you might hear at a health spa nor a yoga studio or in one of those self-help videos when people are doing meditation and other things like that. That is the sound I am looking for. But still, thanks for the recommendation because it really was a good song.
P.S. Check out a musician called Aeoliah. His stuff is along the sounds I am looking for and his stuff will blow your mind away. It is like nothing you probably ever heard before.
I get goosebumps every time I hear his stuff. Especially his Angel Love album. It is so beautiful it actually kind of creeps me out with its beauty. It is hauntingly beautiful.
Thanks for the list. I actually know all those bands. All of them I particularly like. ELP and ELO I definitely would put into the electronical sounds but Santana to me is just hard rock. Jethro Tull is progressive rock. Not the exact type of electronic sound I was looking for in my question, but thanks for commenting. You also have good taste in music. I was born in the early 90's, but I love the old rock. I spent a lot of time as a kid listening to my dad's old albums. I listened to Demons and Wizards. The Wall. Yes Songs. I also really liked Tales From Topographic Oceans.
