I have a piece of music and it is currently a two track composition (Stereo).
If I add another track (Stereo) and duplicate the previous track into the new one, will this add quality to the music--for example if playing it in a modern car where surround sound is used?

Now, is this already a MIX DOWN OF (your two WAV tracks mixed to a Stereo Mix.?...If so, being the "squashed" stereo 'Mix" that it is now,. I doubt you'd notice any increased width...A better way of "blowing it up" would be to use some software you might already have....Make sure your mixing at least a 32bit depth...See if ya have "PAN EXPAND" settings and/ or "Stereo Imaging" and FFT settings in your EQ paramters...I use that PAN EXPAND on the audio of my videos to give it a BIGGER LIVE sound....Now, if ya dont have any of these FX, go back into your Multitrack Session and make a copy of each of the 2 seperate tracks....Ya have 4 tracks now....Pan the 2 like tracks 100% L then the other 2 100% R and mix that down to stereo....Now, you'll very likely have to RE EQ it.. (probably take out some offending lows (30hz up to 250 hz)....I always have to do that when I blow up the stereo field.be it FFT filtering, or Stereo Imaging OR my FAV, PAN EXPAND...Let us know what works!
