The easiest possible solution to your problem is to do a system restore to a time before this problem arose. You will lose any data you have put onto your laptop since that time however it is a very good way to get your computer working again. On start up you will see an option (usually F4) with a 'system restore' option next to it. It normally appears for a round one second so you have to be quick. Simply follow the instructions on screen from there on.
If this is not possible then you will need to attempt to get you files onto an external hard drive, then completely re-install windows onto your computer using your original install discs. Once complete it should run like new and all you'll need to do is put the files from your external hard drive back onto the computer.
The second option will work 99% of the time for any problems involving your software.
Hope this helps let me know how you get on.
