... internet connectivity is critical for clinical operations. Our clinics are located in Eastlands, Nairobi, and therefore have challenges with reliable internet connectivity as well as frequent power outages. The clinics have a generator, but it takes about 5 minutes to turn on from the moment the power goes out. There will be 8 users on the network, including 2 desktop computers, and 6 laptops. We also need a wireless guest network that patients and staff can connect to for personal use.
The ERP software system will not have any local servers on-site, and will not store any data locally. It requires about 2 MBPS per clinic site to be functioning smoothly for users. Fibre is not available at every site, however WiMax is available (but more expensive). VSAT is also available yet even more expensive than Wimax.
what network architecture you would use to solve this problem. Please be specific about what the broadband connection(s) would be, as well as any equipment you would use (modems, routers, firewalls, switches, wireless access points, etc.). If you would use a UPS, which devices would be connected to the UPS? How would you ensure that ERP network traffic is not slowed down by personal network traffic? Please briefly describe how you would configure the router(s) if that is important for your solution
