Are there medical alert systems where patient checks in daily and if Not, alert is sent to EMT Etc?

All systems I have yet found are based on emergency/crisis occuring, then patient (or device) sends alert. This patient has had 2 issues at night, in bed or asleep. They were minor and were found in time but it would be helpful to have an alert that worked something like: patient pushes a button each morning on rising; if button is not pushed by a set time, an alert is sent. Is there nothing like this out there?
