Los Angeles has high levels of nuclear radiation from Susanna Labs (Rocket Dyne, NASA) is there anything that can block strontium-90 or Celesium from being absorbed into the body. I was just reading about how they use methylcyclopropene to block the formation of ethylene by fruits so they don't ripen and it occurred to me maybe something could be done for nuclear waste. Thyroid cancer is the number once cancer children are getting here, and it come from exposure to radiation.
Are there any inhibitors for the absorption of strontium-90?

So is there any possibility of inhibitors for radiation or something that could block the growth of cancer. This country so needs to move in a new direction for doing something about all the super site funds it has allowed to happen and the cancer growth inherent from them.

I have not studied the matter much, but all the people preparing for nuclear war keep potassium iodide to guard against radioactive calcium and strontium.
Could you possibly mention how or why iodate or potassium iodide would help?
