Right now I am having issues with my band teacher. I suspect that she is taking our money for self embezzlement and hiring her friends as instructors. Originally when we began the program, the payment that we supposedly should make were called "donations." Now they are called "incentives." She is constantly pushing for it and hinting at us that we need to pay. Is my school band a nonprofit organization where she is not allowed to do that? Another thing is her way she gives us our grade. Let's say I were to make the full $450 donation, that means I would most likely get an A. Which is correct. Now let's say that I were to make maybe half or less of that. I would not get an A and possibly even a B or C. Is that allowed? Another thing tied in with my grade. She hosts these parent meetings and practically forced our parents to sign up. When they got to the room, she began talking about this Colorguard show that we are hosting. By the time she was done talking, she asked everyone if they wanted to sign up. No one raised their hand for any positions. Then she said that she was going to keep them all there and keep asking until the sheet was filled. That ticked me off. My mother and father could not make it to the meeting so my aunt had gone for me instead. She said that my aunt was not allowed to go in their place even though they were unable to make it because she was going in place of my parents. What is this crap?! One parent can go for two siblings so why can't she go? The next day, she pulled me out of class and made me go around asking teachers if they can participate and "volunteer" in my parents' position. Until I could get one she did not allow me to play in class and the fact that I couldn't play in class dropped my Participation Grade. These half of my issues with her. Is there any thing wrong or illegal about what she is doing?

I don't know if you're in high school or college, but there always is a person to talk to... i.e. Principal, counselor, even the nurse, or some kind of representative. I think you should talk about it especially if your grade depends on how much you "donate". The more students/parents that can prove and back you up, the better.
