Are most people comfortable with using chopsticks in the western society??

Alright, let's see if I can do this. Well, the Western society would be Canada and the U.S.A, and in some cases Mexico. I'm Chinese-Canadian, and I know that normally when I go to any Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese, and also South Korean restaurants, they normally ask if you need a fork if you're young or if you look... 'White'. Or Black. But, my dad can use Chopsticks, and he's white, I can use chopsticks, and lots of people I know can use chopsticks with no problem. I'm pretty sure that Western society is comfortable, or at least okay with chopsticks. I'm sorry if this isn't what you were looking for. Have a good day! :)
