More than likely, the fact that you seen one if thats the idea here, means there is absolutley more running around as they are not very eager to get swatted at by humans lol. No such thing as a clean mouse either ....
I would say Mice are a sign of bad hygiene cause they can carry deasies and other viruses in. It would be real bad if the were getting into the food to.
