If you are talking about in terms of species then , yes they are similar they are from the same branch of species - caniforma ( you might have to check the spelling ). However their traits are very different most dogs appear to enjoy being in a pack with other dogs or with a family . For bears (epically male bears ) the usually live a solitary life , females live with their cubs until they are fully grown. They both are carnivores , and they both communicate not only by sound but for dogs ( much like wolfs ) with eyes and ears. Bears use their body language as well ( as do dogs ) hope this helped !
